Dear Wildcat Students and Families,
Welcome to West Seattle High School from the Counseling Team!! For families joining us for the 24-25 school year our registration process is as follows:
- Review our registration website and videos for information about West Seattle
- Submit your course request using this form, send any questions to your students counselor (note: if you’ve already submitted your course requests online, you don’t need to complete this step)
- You can view class information in our 24-25 Course Catalog
- We will have new student Q&A sessions on:
- In August, we will have tours for new students and welcome events before school starts
To ensure we can place your student in the correct classes please send the following to our Registrar, Ms. Thant WSHSCounseling@169577.com
- All high school transcript(s)
- Proof of completion of WA State History (if applicable)
We strongly encourage families to attend our Q&A events listed above. We are unable to meet individually with incoming families due to meeting the needs of our current students.
Before your students first day we’d like to share helpful information about the school. We hope that this will get you started in learning more about West Seattle:

- Start of School Forms (Update contacts, health forms, housing)
- Bell Schedule
- Map of school
- How to pay for lunches
- School Athletics
- Club List
- Free and Reduced Lunch information
- Teen Health Center (must register to access resources like immunization, physicals, mental health)
- Tech Tutorials:
- Understanding Schoology (where you will access your class assignments)
- Understanding the Source (where you can look at grades and attendance)
- How to submit assignments via Turnit.in (where you’ll submit assignments for some classes)
- Using school email
In addition to these times, you should receive information from Principal Vance with more detail about the fall start. You will be able to find more information on the West Seattle website or through our PTSA-led newsletter What’s Up Westside.
